Climbing Adventure

16 metres. That’s how high our climbing wall is – which incidentally makes it the highest one ever to be built in an Austrian hotel. What our guests need to go climbing is a partner who has the belay rope under control. And obviously strength and some grit. Twice a week we offer our guests ‘Climbing with Our Guide Veronika’. For our guests and guests from other hotels who want to come and try out the Franz Ferdinand, this little adventure costs ten euros. You’re welcome to rent the necessary equipment from the reception – it’s included in the price.

Sauna Facilities

One sauna wouldn’t be enough for us – so the Franz Ferdinand offers you two sauna facilities. The Disco Sauna with the sounds of the ’70s and ’80s. And the Winter Wonderland – to relax and switch off in this wonderful wintry landscape. You’re welcome to borrow a bathrobe from the reception for just ten euros per stay. Opening hours for both sauna facilities: daily from 4 to 10 p.m. In bad weather, we open the saunas much earlier – from 11 a.m.

Sports Shop in the Hotel

One of the major advantages of staying at the Franz Ferdinand is the large Sölle sports shop, located right next to the hotel. The hotel guests enjoy another perk: you receive a 10% discount on all four-star products in the sports shop.

Pool and Darts

A fun game with friends, a challenge for children: we have provided our guests with two pool tables and a modern dartboard in the atrium of the restaurant area. Both can be easily operated with coins. Our tip: go there straight after dinner – and the loser has to supply the coins for the next round.

Children's Area

We love children. Which is why we always give them a lot of space to run free. We have installed a 140-square-metre indoor play area for them – with climbing frames, slides, lots of building bricks, and a children’s go-kart track. And we’re more than happy to show our active young guests the nature and mountains that surround the hotel, too.

Corner Shop

Do you know what a corner shop is? It’s a small shop that sells food and lots of useful little everyday items. In our Corner Shop, the shelves are filled with high-quality organic shower gels, shampoos and lotions by the Saint Charles Apothecary, handmade soaps by Hansen delicious regional schnapps, chocolate by Craigher and our post cards in retro style. The most popular things we sell are our small gift sets for loved ones back home. Ideal souvenirs to take with you on your journey home.
